All aboard! Hop on The Merry Muster and support Queensland rural regions doing it tough

Christmas is closer than you think – 10 weeks away to be exact – and if you're looking to start filling the stockings early, then we think you should take a ride on The Merry Muster. What's this mysterious mode of transportation, you ask? The Merry Muster is a convoy of buses headed to Queensland’s Southern Downs for a day of shopping, exploring and dining on Saturday December 5. So you can do your bit and support these regional areas that have been doing it tough, gather your mates and fellow market enthusiasts and do your Christmas shopping a little differently this year.

Departing from both the Gold Coast and Brisbane, The Merry Muster buses will transport eager shoppers to the picturesque towns of Warwick and Stanthorpe – regions that have been hit particularly hard in the last few years by bushfires and COVID-19 – for a day of market exploring and feasting. The bus will stop in at local makers markets, which will boast more than 100 stallholders from across the region selling unique gifts like crafts, homewares, jewellery and Christmas goodies.

Those aboard The Merry Muster buses are also encouraged to bring an empty eksy, which they can fill with fresh produce like fruit and veg, cheeses and wines. The delicious eats will continue to roll out, with bus riders treated to a tantalising lunch at famed Granite Belt winery Ballandean Estate. The best part? You can sample as many sips as you like since you’re not designated driver on the day.

To secure your seat on the magic bus, make tracks here – a portion of all ticket sales will be donated to a local charity on the day.
