Take your pick from the likes of slow-cooked pork mince and fresh herb bolognaise, rigatoni caponata with fried eggplant, pine nuts and crispy capers, or gnocchi with sausage in a creamy truffle sauce. If you’re partial to treating yourself and don’t think a big ol’ bowl of pasta will cut it, we also recommend grabbing a honey-baked brie or side of arancini. Bellissimo.
Carbs aside, Wednesday also brings Vino & Vinyl Night to Bakery Lane and the Uh Oh Wine Store. Thirsty folk will be drawn to the laneway as DJs spin vinyl from 6:00–9:00 pm. You’re invited to get cosy around the heaters and warm up from the inside out with a $9 spiced mulled wine (or a total of $16 when you pair it with the above-mentioned baked brie – you’re welcome).
