It’s playtime – Welcome to Bowen Hills shows off its new arcade

King Street’s food-truck hub is capping off the year with a new look and some engaging entertainment options. Welcome to Bowen Hills has undergone a sprucing, and with this new vibe comes a host of arcade machines. From Air hockey and pinball to giant chess and PacMan, Welcome to Bowen Hills now has everything to keep you occupied on a night out.

Earlier this year Welcome to Bowen Hills opened on King Street and immediately established itself as a reliable hub for street eats and cool drinks. Since opening, the colourful space has hosted numerous food festivals and tasty pop-ups, but its latest evolution is adding a dash of interactive entertainment for fun-seeking patrons. As part of a refurbishment of the venue, Welcome to Bowen Hills has added an array of cult-favourite arcade games, encouraging guests to shoot for high scores while sipping and snacking.

If nostalgia is your thing, you’ll be stoked with the selection of titles now living on King Street. Welcome to Bowen Hills houses PacMan, Daytona USA, Mortal Kombat, and Ghostbusters, not to mention pinball and air hockey machines. Each game will cost between $1 and $2 to play, with prizes up for grabs including a life-size cut-out of Nic Cage (yes, really), drones, a keg party and plenty of toys and sweets.
