This delicious new duo brings together two of Australia’s most viral names in food, with both Yo-Chi and Pistachio Papi garnering queues around the blocks on the regular. While Yo-Chi has been popping up venues across the east coast for the last few years, Pistachio Papi is still green. Launching in November 2023, the ‘sexy all Italian pistachio spread’ has taken foodies by storm – selling out 3,500 jars in just four minutes on launch day.
Pistachio Papi is the brainchild of Italian-Australians Mark Abdelmalik and Christina Sikalias who wanted to bring the savoury, sweetness of crema pistacchio to Australian shores. Following the mega success of the original spread, Pistachio Papi has since branched out into scented oils, candles, merch and now, collaborations. “Yo-Chi is known just like Papi, for thinking outside the box …” says Mark. “It’s as Papi would like to say; a match made in pistachio heaven.” Fro-yo fans – you’ll now be able to find baths of warm Pistachio Papi spread amidst Yo-Chi’s cornucopia of toppings to lather atop your dessert creation.
Thankfully, the pistachio powerhouse is ready to appease the side-eye from Nonna for its unorthodox fusion of crema pistacchio with fro-yo. On Sunday April 21, Yo-Chi outposts will be giving away free Yo-Chis to all nonnas and grandmothers.* You’re invited to Share The Chi with the golden oldies in your life all-day long.
Pistachio Papi’s spread will be available at toppings bars in all Yo-Chi venues from Sunday April 14 until Sunday May 26. Find out more via Yo-Chi’s socials.
