Dominos: Craving a piping-hot pizza? Dominos is offering a zero-contact delivery service, where its team members will place your order in front of your door before moving back to a safe, two-metre distance. They will then contact you by phone to let you know they have arrived and wait to ensure you have collected your order.
Uber Eats: For those relying on food delivery while social distancing or working from home, Uber Eats has got you covered! After ordering your meal, you can leave a note in the Uber Eats app to ask your delivery person to leave your food at the door – it’s as easy as that!
Deliveroo: In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Deliveroo has rolled out a new feature to enable customers and riders to choose contact-free delivery when they order a meal from the Deliveroo app and website. To ensure there is no contact when the food is delivered, riders will let the customer know when they have arrived, place their thermal bag open on the ground outside their door, maintain a minimum one-metre distance and wait nearby for the customer to collect the food before the order can be completed. Riders are also able to make orders contactless if they wish by letting customers know through the app before they arrive.
Menulog: To maintain peace of mind when making an order on the Menulog app or website, users can now request zero-contact deliveries (on all card payment orders) by using the notes box on the Menulog app or website. Couriers will be on the lookout for contactless delivery instructions so they can safely deliver your meal to your door with zero contact.
McDonald’s: The iconic golden arches offer a form of comfort in times of crisis and Big Mac fans will be pleased to hear that all McDonald’s have implemented new no-contact options to its in-restaurant, drive-thru and McDelivery services, that will minimise customer and employee contact to further improve the safety of Macca’s restaurants. In restaurants, this means a McDonald’s crew person will place the bag on the counter shelf for you to pick up, rather than directly handing it to you. You can also use the MyMaccas App to order and pay, or make an order via Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
