All good things must come to an end – and after decades of dressing people all over the world in her graceful, elegant and fun threads, Tsumori Chisato is retiring her label with one final Autumn Winter collection. As homage to her 40 years in the fashion industry, Camargue has given Stephen free reign to create a landscape of art on the James Street shopfront – and the results are as eye-catching as you would expect. Stephen’s colourful and creative style works seamlessly to encapsulate the spirit of Tsumori’s designs.
This final offering from Tsumori Chisato marks almost a decade of partnering with Camargue to bring our city something truly unique. The collection is right at home amongst Camargue’s selection of ten handpicked Japanese designers – Tsumori’s final drop shares real estate with labels such as Comme Des Garçons, Junya Watanabe and Pleats Please by Issey Miyake. So while Tsumori’s flavour will be missed, we’re certainly not at a loss for cutting-edge Japanese names in Brisbane.
Keen to check it out for yourself? Pop in to Camargue before the end of September to catch Stephen’s amazing illustrations and Tsumori Chisato’s final collection (and to shop more stunning Japanese fashion, of course).
