Soaking, sauna-ing and occasionally, plunging has quickly become the new frontier of wellness – and there’s no denying it’s taken Brisbane and beyond by storm. Contro Wellness is the most recent addition to Brisbane’s growing list of luxury bathhouses. The new destination features a Mediterranean-inspired design with a sepia-toned colour palette, adobe detailing and olive-tree centrepiece. 

Only 13 minutes from Brisbane City, the location is no coincidence. Founders Madeleine Snaith and Jake Salomone were inspired by the prospect of a wellness sanctuary that could offer “calm amongst the chaos.” The duo have recently returned to Brisbane after a stint up north, where they founded Contro Pilates & Yoga studios in Mackay and Rural View.

This new venture boasts an extensive list of services that lets you find a personalised treatment combination for a holistic wellness experience. Contro Wellness is home to float therapy, infrared saunas, traditional saunas, mineral soakers, steam rooms, and contrast, red or salt therapy. Each treatment experience is designed to be private – with the option to add a guest.
