When we wrote about the Gorman x Guide Dogs Australia collaboration in Vibes last year, you guys went absolutely troppo for it. Apparently so did the rest of Australia – the collection flew off the shelves both in-store and online, leading Gorman founder and creative director Lisa Gorman to the logical conclusion to do it all again. The funds raised from 2017’s fashionable outing went towards breeding, raising and training the adorable Brian, a white Labrador who has since become a fully qualified guide dog.
This year’s Gorman x Guide Dogs Australia collection is unsurprisingly cute, colourful and bold, featuring three unique patterns. The doggy coats – which come in four sizes to suit all pooches great and small – are made of polyester outerwear lined with cotton and feature adjustable Velcro straps. The patterns are an absolute delight – you can pick up a camo paper-cut design (the result of a collab with artist Claire Johnson), the Lola Rose Thompson-designed emoji print, plus a river of love pattern. Each of these designs is also available in a people-sized raincoat, so you can twin with your best mate in style. As the cherry on top, every cent from this collection goes back to Guide Dogs Australia – the perfect excuse to get kitted out, we say.
