Gang of Youths and Courtney Barnett headline Laneway’s 15th edition

Lovers of live music, one of the best weekends of the year is fast approaching – St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival is back, baby! The beloved gathering is returning to the Brisbane Showgrounds on Saturday February 2 to deliver some of the world’s hottest and most revered acts – and you’d better believe they know how to work a crowd.

Since its inception into Australia’s cultural sphere, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival has always been about bringing us the best of the best musical acts. As other boutique festivals have come and gone over the years, Laneway has managed to keep us all captivated with its truly genius curation of talent. From up-and-coming indie wunderkinds to seasoned pros, each line-up continues to impress and the proof is in the longevity – this year the festival celebrates its 15th edition, which is extremely impressive when you take into account how many of its peers never reached this milestone.

As for the Laneway line-up, it’s as strong as ever – a practically fifty-fifty split of homegrown heroes and international acts has proven to be a winning formula. The ever-charismatic Gang of Youths (playing their last show in a long time) and powerful sounds of Courtney Barnett share a place as headliners, while audiences will also be treated to the Australian debuts of R’n’B prodigy Jorja Smith, crooner Rex Orange County, teen dream Clairo and hip-hop marvel Denzel Curry. This is just the tip of a very diverse line-up that explores many genres but with one guarantee – every act absolutely slays a live show.

Want to witness some of the best live acts going around? You can still nab tickets to St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival – grab yours here.
