It’s not every day that you are able to down an entire bowl of pho and follow it up with barbecue pork buns, Tokyo tacos, cheeseburger puffles and condensed milk gelato. The Night Noodle Markets is one of those rare occasions where gluttony is excused and even encouraged, as more than 20 of Brisbane’s finest Asian restaurants and street food vendors gather to offer a delectable range of dishes. From July 24 to August 4, the Cultural Forecourt will be bedecked with lanterns and food stalls – making South Bank the place to warm your bones through the middle of winter.
This year, market-goers can feast on a range of signature dishes and innovative new creations from names such as Hoy Pinoy, Waffleland, Teppanyaki Noodles, Donburi Station, Gelato Messina, The Original Korean Twistto Potato, Puffle, Sydney’s POKLOL and Melbourne’s Shallot Thai. Joining this crew of flavour masters are the crews from Bangkok Street Food, Steamed Dim Sum, Bao Brothers, Little Kyoto, Chu the Phat, @Roll Up and even more to enjoy. All that eating is bound to work up a thirst, so parched patrons after a cheeky tipple can sip on a range of wines from the Barossa and Eden Valleys with the Jacob’s Creek Barossa Signature range, as well as a selection of James Squire and Eumundi Brewery craft beers.
