Just one month out from the celebrations, Teneriffe Festival has revealed more details of its jam-packed program that’s going to get locals feasting, drinking, shopping and dancing once again. With more than 100 curated market stalls set to line the streets, the festival will offer everything from delicious treats and tantalising tipples to locally made homewares and historical installations. Hungry folk can take their tastebuds on a trip around the world with salivation-inducing food-truck bites or grab mouth-watering nosh from local restaurants like Sippy Tom, Streetcorner Jimmy, Siffredi’s, soon-to-open Evita Restaurant & Bar and Dalgety 2.0 Public House, the latter spilling into the streets with a huge backyard barbecue under the sparkling fig trees.
Of course, thirsty punters won’t be forgotten and they’ll be able to wet their whistles with bevvies from some top-notch local breweries and spirit makers. Brisbane Gin Distillery’s double-decker bus will be full to the brim with a collection of boozy refreshments, whilst oenophiles can get their grape-juice fix with help from Bacchus Wine Merchants. Brewski enthusiasts will be thrilled to hear that there will be three (yes, three!) pop-up beer gardens from Green Beacon Brewing Co., which will be nestled between two laneway stages that will be kept busy with live entertainment from some of Brisbane’s best musos. As if that wasn’t enough, Australia’s favourite Heelers Bluey and Bingo will be making an appearance, plus meeting and greeting with fans on the day. Just make sure to tack on a meet-and-greet experience when purchasing your tickets, unless you want to end up in the dog house.
In even more exciting news, tickets for Teneriffe Festival go on sale at 10:00 am today, Thursday September 16! You can grab yours now via Oztix and if you’re quick enough, you’ll be able to snag limited early-bird group passes for $40, which will secure yourself and three mates entry. So go on, gather the gang and prepare for one truly ideal day out on Saturday October 23.
